Green-winged Teal

Scientific Name:
Anas crecca
Description
A very small duck with a delicate, narrow bill. The male shows a brown head marked by a broad green patch behind the eye, a pale speckled breast, and a mostly grey body. The female is brown and generally darker than many other dabbling ducks. It feeds by dabbling at the surface and tipping forward to reach underwater plants, and is also often seen walking over mudflats while foraging.
